Spoiler tags are !X kills Y! I think the thing that annoyed me most, but was also extremely believable, in Halo was that almost nobody thought the Spartan 2 plan was actually useful. I think what happened to the spartans - getting kidnapped at birth and replaced by clones then turned into supersoldiers by 13 years old, only to die to experimentation and be used for suicide missions - was horrible but in all honesty, it probably saved the human race several times. It almost certainly saved the entire galaxy's organic life pool a couple times destroying the flood. Like I said, it was entirely realistic that people would criticize and even ostracize the Spartans, especially due to the fact that their real missions were highly classified, it just annoyed me.
When I was young, I built a lot of models from Revell. Indeed, I have always loved building models. When SnapTite kits first came out, I admit I looked down on them as somewhat unworthy of a 'serious' modeler's attention. However, the kits have gotten better, and they can be a great way to introduce a child to the world of modelling. This particular kit includes features I had not previously seen in a SnapTite kit: lots of separate parts, 37 in all, sound, and lights. My previous experience with SnapTite was that the kits had relatively few parts. While unnecessary, the lights and sound are a nice addition to this model. The greatest advantage is SnapTite kits is that no tools are required.
All the parts are separate, so no sprue trimming is needed. The parts are molded in green, tan, and gray. Printing on parts is flawed. The stripes on 2 of the side pieces are just a tad higher than the other 6 parts. The engines are super delicate & fall off constantly if you even look at them.
Landing gear pop off once on awhile. Otherwise it's really sturdy and has some heft to it. All the accessories fit well inside cargo container, & one pilot has 2 heads: a helmeted version & bare skin.
I wasn't expecting him to have his own helmet! The metallic color is really nice, too bad I have nothing else that matches it, so this set will likely remain built & not parted out. The grabbing arms are just for show & very delicate. Cargo container is held on by 4 studs that have very good grip. Many of the parts have excellent clutch, almost too much.
Needed pliers/teeth to get some plates together. I bought this and ASIN:B00U26LIXU Mega Bloks Halo Scorpion's Sting for my sons for Christmas. They were very excited and now have them displayed in their rooms. My only issue with them is the instructions aren't as easy to follow as Lego brand. With Lego each set of steps as a number that corresponds with a number on a small bag of Lego that has every piece you need for that set of steps. Mega Bloks do have a set of steps and many small bags of blocks.but there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason for the way the blocks are bagged. I had to open every single bag and dig through the blocks to find the pieces needed for each set of steps. Which was fine I guess just more time consuming. But as far as I know Lego doesn't make Halo sets, and that is what my.
If she cuts her hair in order to beautify herself for her husband, then I do not see anything that Imam Ahmad narrated that Al-Harith Al-Ash`ari said that the Prophet of Allah said, (Allah commanded Yahya bin Zakariya to implement five commands and to order the Children of Israel to implement them, but Yahya was slow in carrying out these commands. Tafsir ibnu katsir pdf. Answer: If the woman cuts her hair in order to resemble/imitate disbelieving or sinful women then it is not permissible to have this intention.
The covenant spirit drop ship (2281 pcs) is a massive build, comparable to the size of the scarab. I was reluctant to buy it for $150 so I waited til the price dropped down to $100 and at that price it's a bargain. The decals of the pieces and mini-figs are awesome. In the photos I compared some of the weapons in this set (left) and some more common color weapons (right) I also read in the questions and comments that it can hold 12-16 I was able to fit a total of 32, the mini-figs I used are the older models before megabloks did the interchangeable armor, but still I could probably squeeze more in if I wanted to.
To sum up this awesome set is a must if you collect halo megabloks/mega construx and if you can buy two. JUST DO IT, because I bet in. This is the first Miniatures type game I have purchased, and I feel I made an excellent choice.First let's look at the feel and appearance.
The actual miniatures are gorgeous. The Captial ships look like perfect replicas of the models used for the movies, well the Nebulon-B and Corvette since the Victory-class does not appear in the movies. Even the starfighters, which aren't painted, have all of the recognizable features such as the X-wings' astromech.
Ships Of Halo
The punch outs are also rather nice with crisp clean artwork, and when you punch them out there aren’t any nubs left behind. And the punch-outs fit very well with the plastic stands. The game is designed so that the two sides are asymmetrical and you have to adapt your strategies to make best use of your faction's strengths while covering their weaknesses. Rebel capital ships are quick and adapt quickly to new situations but possess. This is probably one of the most beautiful ship designs in all of the Halo saga. So, when this replica was released, I had to have it.
![]()
The ship is 6 inches long and 5 inches wide. It is very heavy.
Much heavier than a plastic model. It is made of mostly resin with a few metal parts. It comes in a metallic silver color with dark gray or gunmetal color accents.
There is nothing to assemble and no moving parts. It comes with a stable removable base. The Phaeton is very accurate when compared to the ship in the game. Being resin however, it does have a slight rough texture, that is very different from plastic or diecast replicas. Is this a perfect replica? There are a few slight nick picky imperfections, but still, this Halo 5 Forerunner Phaeton Replica is well worth collecting. I would love to.
My 9 year old LOVES Halo, and loves legos and mega bloks now. We've been doing a lot of the Halo sets, and I happened to see after Xmas that they had a bunch of them 40 to 60 percent off, so I grabbed a dozen different ones. This one wasn't on sale, but I just had to have it, there was no way I could pass it up.As with all the megablok Halo sets, it's done very well and looks great. I used to dislike the way things were packaged, unlike Lego kits that have bags numbered and used for specific parts of the build. But I found that ultimately I like the lack of organization since now I've showed my 9 year old how to get all the bags open and start sorting out all the parts into piles so everything is organized and easy to find.
I have been a fan of Halo since the beginning, and seeing models and different things coming out hits my nostalgia nerve. This kit is surprisingly accurate to the Warthog, with minor color differences.Instructions are mostly clear, with a few items (namely stickers) missing some info about placement. It could be just a 'stick these wherever' however about 75% of the stickers have a designated location.
You may need a spot of glue to hold the fender guards on, I have noticed over time they keep popping out of the intended mounting points.Build quality is great. A very smart active suspension is built into the model, allowing for moderate driving over terrain in your house. My son has managed several battles without any serious damage, minus the aforementioned fender guards. The colors just feel.a touch off. The main body could be a shade darker green, and the wheels are a muddy.

Based on the Data Pads and the amount of time it would take to glass Earth, presuming the covenant had as many warships as the UNSC, you get around 2,000 ships near the start of the war.Now you have to wonder how many they could build in a few years. Post-war with most of their colonies gone, they pump out over 10 new frigates, five 1.5 km battle cruisers and at least two carriers.
Hardly an accurate estimate for their entire empire but it's what we have to go on now. Considering an Anchor could repair and refit six destroyers within a few hours. They could likely build new ships very fast.As for the Covenant. Canonically all we know is that they fielded thousands of warships.
Which could mean anything from 9,000. To 999,999 depending on your interpretation. Considering they are a galactic power, and that a single asteroid could build. 10,000 or tens of thousands is probably not a stretch. UNSC Fleet- Difficult to say in the absence of any direct quotes from the books or games, though I wouldn't be surprised if at its height the UNSC Navy numbered many hundreds of ships e.g 2000-4000.Despite the fact that the UNSC knew that up until 2552 the Covenant was fighting a slow methodical campaign through their outer and inner colonies, they still had a 120 ships held in reserve at Reach and perhaps a similar number of warship at Earth. When your fighting a full scale war, you keep the bulk of your military forces on the front lines with small 'operational' forces behind the lines to reinforce anywhere the enemy breaks through.By 2552 the 'frontlines' of the human-covenant war would likely have comprised of the few dozen surviving Inner colonies outside Reach and Earth, so even after 28 years of grinding attrition if the UNSC still had 240+ capital ships to hold back at Reach and Earth.
A larger force must still have been gathered around the surviving Inner colonies which is no doubt where the UNSC considered the Covenant to attack before hitting Reach and Earth.Covenant Fleet- Again difficult to say, though without a doubt substantially larger then the UNSC could ever hope to command. Pretty much all the Covenant client races had been space faring much longer then humanity, so their combined resources in terms of manpower and available resources provided though millennia of colonization would be able to provide them with tens of thousands of warships. The Covenant suffered by human terms huge losses between Reach, the first Halo Ring and Unyielding Hierophant which would easily run to over 700 ships, yet the Covenant leadership considered these combined losses nothing more then minor inconveniences. Only a matter of months after the destruction of Unyielding Hierophant and its 500 strong escort fleet the Covenant was able to launch a full scale attack on Earth. If I was to guess, I say the Covenant Navy before the Great Schism likely numbered in the tens of thousands of warships, perhaps even over 100,000+. Lets talk about Super MACs used in Orbital Defense Grids. These launch 3,000 ton (3 kiloton) projectiles made of depleted Uranium. The speeds involved are up to 12,000 kilometers per second or 4% the speed of light. 'Against Covenant shield technology, the rounds possess enough kinetic energy to punch through shields, cut through the ship, and, upon exit, still retain enough energy to destroy a second ship, and cripple a third ship.It is theorized that if a ship's armor or shields were to absorb all the kinetic energy of a super MAC round, the release of thermodynamic energy would still vaporize the ship.
By receiving power from ground-based power plants, orbital platforms could achieve recharge and reload times as short as five seconds.' Not only are these insanely OP, but after looking through obscure resources, the power output is as much as 35 Teratons. Now given, i dont usually take external sources as solid, but the math involved is based in science fiction which makes it hard to disprove, and a star wars weapon like an ion cannon would not short out electrical systems in real life, but does in star wars.

This is why science fiction and reality are hard to mixOOPS, I POSTED THIS IN THE WRONG THREAD!!! SORRY FOR INTERUPTING!!!!!
I did a similar thread mainly focused on the potential size of the UNSC fleet by using the current world's navies as a collective group. Link isHowever to add to what I wrote before it would be safe to say you can add up to 75 percent of the sum total to include any ships which weren't at Earth for the final battle as well as new ships built. Now my figure for total number of ships may seem small and that is due to the fact we simply are speculating at this point.
Hopefully Halo Fleetlands will give more information. Seeing how the covenant empire as a whole when they first came across forerunner relics. Starting in 2200 BCE which is way long before humans had the tech to travel through space.
And the sangheili accepted the alliance to join the covenant around 876 BCE. I assume they had at least 1 fleet or very few of lets say 10 or 100 ships then. Just imagine how many they brought about within the time before the Humans 1st encountered them in 2524 AD.Im being lazy right now, so someone else do the math and tell me how many ships or fleets were created in the covenant within that timeline. As for human fleets i dont really care for them all that much.
Determining the Real Sizes of Objects in HaloDaily MusingsSite ResourcesGame FunFan CreationsPress CoverageCommunityAdminDetermining the Real Sizes of Objects in HaloArticle and photos by (SoundEffect) Determining a system of measureThe folks at Bungie were smart in making well over 90% of the characters, weapons, objects, and environments in Halo: Combat Evolved a consistent and uniform scale. It makes determining the true sizes of items in the Halo universe a feasible endeavor.
Most 3D programs can determine the outer boundaries of any object made or imported within them. In this example, the 3D program is 3D Studio Max.
An arbitrary system of values are given to each object imported into the program. These numbers are consistent with each other with the notable exceptions listed later in this discussion. Is this accurate?Once we have access to numbers, they need to be made meaningful. To make them mean something in the real world, we need to at least have a definite value to calculate against. The easiest choice is the height given for the main character, Spartan-117. There are still debate as to how high John really is, but the most accepted value is around 7ft tall. We'll assume for this discussion that it's 7ft tall while he's in his armor.Take a look at the following diagram. It's from 3D Studio Max and it shows the Spartan mesh and the related properties for it.
The Z value is the most meaningful one for this discussion. According to that number, the Spartan mesh is 0.704 in height. What does that number mean? It's a number that tells us the mesh is that high in the vertical plane. It's helpful to game developers for ensuring that a character can walk through appropriately-sized halls and doorways by making them at least 0.704 or greater as well as other purposes. We need to turn that number into a meaningful value. If we were to multiply the number of the Mesh Value by ten, and called the resulting number a value measured in feet, then the Spartan mesh would be 0.704 x 10 = 7.04 (feet).
That makes John just a hair over 7ft tall.that works for me! Ten may be an overly simplistic value.
Perhaps it should be 10.06554 or something similar, but the point is just to get a number that allows us to translate meshes in the Halo universe into real numbers that are meaningful. As more cross-referencing is done, it becomes apparent that the 'ten factor' works for other sources as well. One that comes to mind is that the weapons for the Joyride Studios action figures are scaled to their figures the same way the mesh Marines have similarly scaled mesh weapons. The MA5B Assault Rifle is the same length whether you use this system to determine it's real world value or you just take a Halo action figure's AR, measure it, multiply by the figure's scale, and you'll get the same number. Here's another example; the size of the Pillar of Autumn. In the diagram below, much like the Spartan mesh, we can see the three values of the outermost boundaries of the Autumn. The number that represents it's overall length is 384.064. Remember that both the Master Chief and the Pillar of Autumn are the same relative size to one another.
So we have to use the same conversion number, ten. So 384.064 x 10 = 3840.64 feet. This is where it gets creepy. If we change the value to metric, 3840ft becomes 1.17km. Does the system work? Did Bungie intend the Autumn to be 1.17km long? Or is it just another coincidence of the number 117 showing up so frequently with them?!:)Exceptions to the ruleThere are only a few objects in all of Halo: Combat Evolved that are presented smaller than the intended scale.
The reason is to save on computer and memory resources within the context of the game. The following are objects that are not scaled with everything else in-game:. The Halo ringworld (full ring in space). Planet Threshold and its moon Basis. The full version of the Truth and ReconciliationIt's obvious that a ring that's supposed to be 10,000km across is not going to be actually in the game at that size. You see Halo in its entirety on a couple of occasions; such as the view out the bow of the Pillar of Autumn's bridge viewport, and its destruction at the game's end. Halo's scale is internally consistent within itself, but it's not to scale to the other characters, vehicles and environments of the game.Similarly, the Planet Threshold and its moon Basis are out of scale with everything else.
Threshold and Basis, as 3D objects are seen as holograms in the Halo Control Center. The giant planet seen in the sky or in space is only a bitmap backdrop surrounding the environment you play in.The Covenant Cruiser 'Truth and Reconciliation' is only seen whole on two occasions in the game.
The first is in a self-titled chapter when the mission is to reach the ship's ground-side gravity lift. Cortana tells us that the ship is holding position 300m above the ring, but because the mesh has been scaled down it's actually much closer than that. There are two versions of the Truth and Reconciliation.the full ship, as seen above the mesa, and the part that's visible when you're on board and in the Covenant shuttlebay. The two ships are scaled differently by a factor of 2.5.
Call of chernobyl factions. The 'true' size should be the segment containing the shuttlebay, and therefore, all the other adjoining corridors and rooms. The smaller (full) mesh is likely just to save on computer resources again and as we don't get any closer to it than viewing it from the ground, it's real size and height in-game is hard to determine just by looking.ConclusionsBy determining a conversion factor to translate a mesh value into a known one, and having some known value by which it can be verified, the items, characters, vehicles, and locations in the Halo universe can be calculated. The following charts are many of the ships, vehicles, and weapons from Halo. Each chart is consistently scaled to itself, and the small item on each chart becomes the basis of the one following so you can see the very large down to the very small. The formula determined above is used to obtain the values listed for each object. There are a few exceptions as I tried to logically place a few Halo 2 objects on the chart and determined their values through other scaling means, usually in reference to a known value. Suffice it to say, the Halo 2 objects will be corrected, if needed, as more information becomes available.
